Radiology
Radiology is an inpatient and outpatient oriented department. The patient population includes approximately 30% inpatients and 70% outpatients. Services are available for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The Radiology department performs approximately 50,000 exams per year. The following is a breakdown of sub-department hours of service:
Computed Tomography
Normal business hours 7:30 am-10:00 pm M-F for scheduled procedures. Twenty-four hour coverage for emergency and inpatient studies is provided 365 days per year.
Diagnostic Radiography
24-hour coverage is provided with staff on duty 365 days/year. Routine fluoroscopic exams and diagnostic procedures are generally scheduled for normal business hours 7:30 am-4:00 pm M-F, and after hours by Radiologist approval. Routine radiographic exams can be done on a walk-in basis from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm, M-F.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Normal business hours 8:00 am -7:00 pm M-F . The Radiology department will attempt to call back MRI personnel for emergency cord compression exams after normal business hours.
Nuclear Medicine
Normal business hours are 7:00 am-4:30 pm M-F, emergency cases will be handled as needed.
Ultrasound
Normal business hours 7:30 am-10:00 pm M-F for scheduled procedures. Twenty-four hour coverage for emergency and inpatient studies is provided 365 days per year.
Cardiac Cath/Special Procedures
Normal business hours 7:30am-4:00p M-F. The Radiology department will attempt to call back Special Procedures personnel for emergency interventional vascular procedures after normal business hours.
