UNC Lenoir Health Care introduced six physicians to the community on January 28 at the Kinston Country Club.  Community members had the opportunity to meet and speak with a variety of physicians and welcome them to our community.   Beverly Jenkins, physician recruiter and network coordinator, was delighted at the community response and commented, “We are fortunate to have the high quality of care givers that have joined the UNC Lenoir medical community.  We will continue to reach out to physician candidates to further enhance our medical staff.  Our goal being to make sure we have the right physician mix to best provide care for our community.” 

Dr. Heath Fallin, Kinston Regional Pain Center brings a new service to the community with his specialty in pain management.  He offers a variety of treatments for chronic pain, most of which do not include opiate medications.

Dr. Ryan Gallaher, Physicians East in Kinston, adds infectious disease   to the specialty services at UNC Lenoir and is working closely with our Chief Medical Officer to ensure the safety of our patients.

Dr. Abhishek Mishra, Vidant Multispecialty Clinic, invasive non-interventional cardiologist brings our cardiology team to four.

Dr. Louis Peak, UNC Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at Lenoir, adds a third orthopedist to that practice.  He has over 5,000 surgeries to his credit and is very interested in joint revisions but practices general orthopedics as well.

Dr. Vengamampa Polu, Vidant Endocrinology in Kinston, Dr. Polu also adds a new specialty to our medical staff and works closely with our Diabetes Treatment Center to effectively treat people with Diabetes.

Dr. Kristin Williams, UNC Surgical Specialists at Lenoir, joined the medical staff most recently and she is a general surgeon with a special interest in breast surgery.  Dr. Williams has already connected with Dr. Eskra, local plastic and reconstructive surgeon, to work together with surgical breast patients.
