    Gary came to Lenoir Memorial Hospital in 1985 as its Chief Financial Officer and was promoted to President and CEO in 1992. He retired from LMH/UNC Lenoir Health Care in June 2018.

  • UNC Lenoir Health Care Offering New State of the Art Sleep Apnea Procedure 1/3/2022

    Inspire works inside the body with a patient’s natural breathing process to treat sleep apnea. Mild stimulation opens the airway during sleep, allowing oxygen to flow naturally. The patient uses a small handheld remote to turn Inspire on before bed and off when they wake up.

  • UNC Lenoir Health Care Awarded Stroke Accreditation from the Joint Commission 1/2/2022

    During the inspection, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with Acute Stroke Care standards spanning several areas including acute treatment measures, stroke evaluation standards, and rehabilitation services.
