UNC Health Lenoir is pleased to announce that Harleigh Blackman is the 2023 President’s Service Excellence Award winner. The PSEA is selected by peers as an employee who exemplifies superior performance, strong leadership, effective communication, and service excellence. Harleigh began employment in June of 2019 as a Dietary Technician. In November 2020, she obtained her Phlebotomy Certification and became a Phlebotomist Technician.

Lenoir Community College (LCC) celebrated the naming of two nursing labs in honor of UNC Health Lenoir on Monday, October 28. The event marked a deepening partnership between LCC and the local healthcare system, with representatives from both institutions in attendance. The collaboration includes a newly established scholarship program to support aspiring nurses in the region.

The 2024 Lenoir Hospital Foundation Superball Golf Tournament was a huge success.

Congratulations to Dr. Luz "Juliana" Barahona, a pulmonologist with UNC Physicians Network and UNC Health Lenoir, who was honored as “Hero of the Game” at the season opener for the Carolina Hurricanes.

UNC Health has four hospitals and many outpatient clinics that have been hard hit and UNC Health Lenoir is stepping in to help their partners.

UNC Health Lenoir is excited to announce a new service coming to our area as a result of our partnership with UNC Health.

UNC Health Lenoir in Kinston has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® - Heart Failure Gold Plus quality achievement award for its commitment to improving outcomes for patients with heart failure, which means reduced readmissions and more healthy days at home.

Leaders at the hospital identified projects that would benefit from grant support and asked the Foundation for assistance outside of the regular hospital budgeting process.
